Snowmageddon 2010

Snow hit Raleigh!  While Mark and I were hoping for a white Christmas, we were still tickled pink when we awoke to the white wonderland outside our window. As anyone who has had to deal with snow for long periods of time can tell you, this sort of weather is enjoyable for, oh, two weeks before it gets rather cumbersome and tedious.  Since we’ve moved to Raleigh, Mark and I have been able to fully enjoy the snow when we are able to experience it.  This sort of weather never lasts very long in Raleigh, the warm temperatures allowing the snow to disappear in a matter of days.   We ventured outside, me with camera in hand to document the magnificent weather — building a giant snow bunny that we named Harvey (bonus points to the person who can identify the classic movie), throwing snowballs, and chasing around our two dogs while they hopped around the fluffy snow.  It was a great deal of fun, and I hope everyone in the area enjoyed the winter playground as much as we did.  Happy day-after Christmas everyone!

Nora - Such cute photos! There’s a lot of snow here, but we are now firmly in the land of it being cumbersome.

Monika - You have my sincere sympathies. Snow and cold are incredibly disagreeable after you’ve dealt with it beyond the first two weeks. I hope you and yours are able to stay warm and safe throughout the winter season.
